Repeated efforts have been made by local researcher to ask the L.A. Times to force action on politically targeted liberal employees of L.A. County. Two such employees were allegedly targeted by covert operations which led to their disability. Then it was reported by a confidential source that another operation was undertaken to remove the two from their disability retirement.
Requests for an investigation had been submitted to various L.A. County offices, only to be repeadedly rejected. Eventually the Board of Supervisors has asked for an investigation to determine if indeed the two former Department of Public Social Services workers were removed from their pension by a right-wing inspired operation.
You have a right to know if the right is regulating your civil servants in local government. Contact your Supervisor and ask that a press release be issued with proof there was no wrong-doings against these two fine workers. If they refuse to release information based on confidentality of the records, demand the two alleged targets be put in contact with the researcher who uncovered these alleged covert acts.
This is not how it is supposed to be.
