THE ART OF PUNK will be the inaugural exhibit for the brand new Kantor Gallery on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. The exhibit will offer artworks and related materials documenting the rise of L.A.'s Punk underground at the close of the 20th century.

Original artworks by Mark Vallen (Art For A Change) will be included in the exhibit, along with works by Raymond Pettibone (graphic Artist for Black Flag), Shepard Fairey (known for his Obey absurdist propaganda street posters), Dave Leamon, and Emek.

Vallen's cover Illustrations for the L.A. Weekly and SLASH magazine (L.A.'s late 70's Punk propaganda organ) will be on display... as well as his numerous portraits of Punk band members and fans. The exhibit will also include over 800 original Flyers and Posters, as well as Artist's Books from bands like Black Flag, the Ramones and more.
