Dear Radio Friend,
The latest Shortwave Report (December 20) is up at the website
http://www.outfarpress.com/outfarpress/shortwave.shtml in both broadcast quality 13.5MB) and quickdownload or streaming form (3.3MB) (29:01) It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
This program will be aired on Friday evening at 7pm on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via
http://www.kzyx.org There are several other streams that work better-
http://members.cruzio.com/~frsc/ Freak Radio Santa Cruz (96.3fm) streams this program on Friday at 5:35pm (PST) and on Monday at 9amPST.
Also check out LavaLamp Radio (Japan)-

And the Partytown streams are great and informative-
http://www.partytown.com/radio This week's show features stories from Radio Netherlands, Radio Deutsche Welle, the Voice Of Russia, Spanish National Radio, and Radio Havana Cuba.
From Netherlands- Indians in Ecuador have released oil company workers they had kidnapped in order to stop drilling on ancestral lands. A 77 year-old media director was arrested in Argentina for covertly adopting the children of jailed and disappeared women during the military regime. Pakistan is extremely upset after being labelled as “suspect” by the US, making its citizens subject to controls and detention.
From Russia- Russia is unhappy that Bush announced the upcoming deployment of the National Missle Defense system, “son of Star Wars.” Parts of the British Army are on “high-alert” and are being inoculated prior to being sent to Iraq, creating fear of a repeat of the “Gulf War Syndrome.” The US is training Iraqi troops for helping overthrow Saddam and creating a new Iraqi military.
From Spain- The US government is displeased with the Iraqi weapons declaration, and continues the daily bombing of sites in Iraq. Tony Blair has invited Palestinian leaders to England next month to discuss a peace plan.
From Russia- First, a Palestinian discusses Blair’s proposed Peace Plan discussion, and questions whether Israel’s so-called War On Terror is really a war against the Palestinian state. Germany is expected to head the UN security Council Sanctions Panel on Iraq.
From Cuba- Nelson Mandela has slammed US arrogance and unilateralism in its actions and policies against Iraq. Banana workers in Nicaragua have won a lawsuit against 3 US companies producing and using pesticides. Human Rights Watch says the US military violated international law in Afghanistan by using “cluster bombs” in populated areas.
All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt!
