ST. LOUIS MAN CLAIMS RUSH LIMBAUGH AFFAIR (Breaking Hard, ho ho...)

A 46 year old music store owner from the St. Louis area, Elliot Sanders, is claiming that while a college student at Southeast Missouri University in 1971, he had an affair with Rush Limbaugh. Sanders claims that he and Limbaugh, the well known talk radio star, had an affair that went on for about 3 months in the fall of 1971...

Sanders stated that he met Limbaugh in a class he was taking, but it was only after meeting his sister, who was openly gay at that time, that he found out Rush himself was gay. "Rush was a charming man privately," says Sanders, "I met him in a class I was taking, and got on a first name basis with him. I didn't realize he was gay until his sister came to visit him. She was gay, and like, we hit it off, and she seemed shocked that I didn't know Rush was gay as well. When I found out I was like ... wow!"

Sanders says that privately, Limbaugh was very sensitive and caring man, but that he was furiously angry that KFBK, the top 40 radio station he worked while still in high school would not offer him a full time job.

"He was furious about that," said Sanders, "And he often told me that he was really going to show them." According to Sanders, Rush's politics at the time were somewhat middle of the road. "Rush said that he though most people are incredibly gullible, and he felt that the key to radio programming was to reach that crowd, and that it would be really, really easy. He thought he thought he could get anyone to believe anything he said, and the more outrageous is was, the more they would believe it."

When asked when he thought Limbaugh "went straight," Sanders replied, "What are you talking about? I mean, he's been married four times now, do people really not get why he doesn't stay married? I guarantee none of those marriages was ever consummated."

Sanders would not divulge any further details, but when asked if he feared retaliation from Limbaugh for his revelations, he stated, "No, Rush wouldn't do that, he's really a sweetie at heart, but some of the people who listen to him might. I think most of them are psychotic. I don't think these people realize he's just pandering to them for ratings, but if they find out, I wouldn't want to be there."

But Rush is also a moron.

The guy is 46 now. 31 years ago, while in college, he had an affair with Limbaugh? That would make him a 15-year-old college student. Something's not right here.

This is the only comment to the article from the above link. Seeing as how the major news didn't do squat with this "story," and acknowledging the disturbingly voracious zeal with which they LOVE to smear people (and Rush has a lot of anti-fans in major news organizations!), one would have to conclude that the article is an absolute fabrication. Someone actually sat around and wrote this?

the left spends entirely too much time fixated on Rush. Why do you suppose that is? I'm on the right and haven't listened to Rush in about 10 years.

I'm no fan of Rush, to be sure. While he is witty and intelligent, he has repeatedly shown an aptitude for bigotry and homophobia to say the least. (Note: I could include links here ad infinitum, but they took me took long to go through, and it gets somewhat pedantic) Besides, he was a flavor which conservatives love, but have already moved on to Sean Hannity, so it doesn't matter anyways.
Fabrication of stories on the other hand, is downright repugnant. If it is to be accepted as satire, then the author has done a bigger disservice to homosexuals than any damage intended for Limbaugh.
Limbaugh could be an effective debater, however he makes the same fallacy as anyone who is extremely ideological, be they left, right, or whatever: blind adherance. This all but eliminates critical thought, and leads down the road of another fallacy ideological extremists: demonizing their "opponents" without substantivally arguiing the merits of the information they disagree with.
But I suppose, it's hard since

I think the gay community would be horrified at the thought of Limbaugh being gay. Simply horrified. They would never claim him.

Limbaugh did not work at KFBK when he was in HS. Limbaugh did not arrive in Sacramento until after 1980, well into his 30s.

Yes, Rush Limbaugh is gay. Yet will these so-called "Republicans" and "conservatives" who listen to Limbaugh ever stop listening to people who don't truly stand up for their best interests? Will they ever stop listening to people who blatantly lie to them and appeal to their hatred and intolerance (just like Limbaugh lies to himself and appeals to his own self-hatred)? Will these "Republicans" and "conservatives" ever accept an alternative to Limbaugh, someone who tells them the truth and respects their intelligence? I hope so.

Yet it is doubtful that Limbaugh will ever come out of the closet and admit the truth to himself and to his listeners. The same is true for the droves of these so-called "conservatives" and their so-called "leaders." The Republicans in power and their economic proposals do nothing to help many of their constituents and supporters, many of whom are low-income or middle-income and would benefit much more from the economic policies and tax policies of President Obama and the Democrats.

The old-school Republicans and neocons nonetheless egg on these Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity, and Savage "conservatives," often middle-class evangelicals, easily influenced by racial hatred, anti-gay hatred, and a mob-like populism that fails to appeal to their intelligence and their best interests. And the ironic thing is that Limbaugh and many of the prominent conservative Republicans who egg them on are closeted homosexuals themselves, who don't believe in what they say, but say what they say for professional gain. They know they can appeal to racist and homophobic sentiments of these middle-class evangelicals that unfortunately linger in this country, and they know they can articulate it better than other conservatives, so they politically position themselves as conservatives for professional gain.

The Limbaughs and the Savages are lying to much of the American public, and it is all a political money game. So much of the Republican party is shrouded in lies. That explains why the Republicans and the Bush Administration are responsible for bringing down the USA since 2001 in terms of economic policy and national security, because they have failed to tell the truth to the American people. They fail to tell the truth to themselves.

It is perplexing to me why these regular American "conservative" people choose this path in the first place. Why they were egged on to hate Clinton. Why they supported Bush. Why they say they hate Obama. Why they say they love Limbaugh. A lot of it goes back to "religion," but not really a true belief in religion. More so a "white power" agenda that is often shrouded in the guise of religion and helps prop of the rich who support these "conservative" religious factions. Hopefully, one of these days, these lower-income and middle-income "conservatives," these "ditto-heads," will choose to reject their failed "leadership," a so-called "leadership" who doesn't really care about them and is unlikely to stop egging them on and telling them lies.

It is easy to be duped and lied to; it is easy to follow an agenda that keeps you in your place and fails to challenge you. But it really takes courage to step up, reject your current leadership which has failed you for so long, and to pledge to support a new leadership that will help to improve your quality of life, and will tell you the truth while they're at it.

Elliot Sanders may be gay, but I would bet that rush Limbaugh is not!!! Besides this guy says he is 46 - in 1971 he says he was in college - the way I fugure this, Elliot would have only been 9 years old in college! I say Elliot is a liar - he must be a Democrat - another idiotic Barach Hussein Obama supporter!!! Democrats are stupid!!!
