Greens Do Doo Dah

Members from the Green Party and a host of other organization participated in the Doo Dah Parade.
A shout out to the following groups is in order: The Green Party, Libertarian Party, Not in Our Name, Billionaires for Bush and the Inter Faith Communities, specifically All Saints of Pasadena.

The Doo Dah parade in its 24th year originated as a spoof on the Rose Bowl Parade; It even travels down Colorado Blvd in the opposite direction to its up scale brother. Unlike the Rose Bowl Parade, crowds and traffic ARE NOT A PROBLEM.
As a spoof, it’s a delight! A closer look however reveals a deeper and perhaps more interesting attribute. This grass roots people dominated event in effect is a “sentiment barometer” that’s often humorous in a manner truly specific to the Doo Dah Parade.
This years Doo Dah in stark contrast to last years presented peace as an alternative to the administration’s call to war. Many groups presenting an assortment of themes participated; the images below are only a small sample.
