COUNTERINSURGENTS WRITERS ON THE GOVERNMENT PAYROLL PERVADE ALL THE INDY MEDIA WEB SITES?

COUNTERINSURGENTS WRITERS

COUNTERINSURGENTS WR...
we_colonize_minds2.jpg, image/jpeg, 280x170

I have seen over and over the comments on the Indy Media web sites of a few persons who seem to spend a large amount of time writing about main stream ideas in politics, denigrating any writing coming from the left of the political spectrum. Inexhaustible writers who spend time publishing dissenting texts at every hours of the day, seven days a week. It seem that those people don’t have a job, or do they? One might wonder who they are.....-----> Alias “Bush admirer” and “T-Mex” and others.........

Thank you very much for your post Marcus. I couldn't agree more. T-Mex and Bush Admirer (it hurts even to type that) are a serious blight on indymedia. We'll be addresing the problem at our next general meeting.

Hardly Outgunned or out matched

by Randy Grant Monday, Nov. 04, 2002 at 8:36 AM

Those two right wing extremeist are hardly worth worrying about. If differing points of view are not presented then a visitor to the indymedia sight might be lead to believe that the news here is even more leftist then the main stream media (which is definatly not the case as the mainstream media is self censoring and conservative in the uptmost). I feel that having Bush and Tex on the indy media serves to highlight the freedom of opinon that can be found here. When people read the articles in the newswire with such a variety of opinion their own critical thought process will be challeneged and they will have to make up their own mind regarding the topic. This is what Indymedia is all about teaching people to think for themselves.

You said( forgive me if I lift it out of context) that

-If differing points of view are not presented then a visitor to the indymedia sight might be lead to believe that the news here is even more leftist then the main stream media-

Ahem, the media is not leftist or leftest.

I just think that repeating mindless robots who can't even remember the conversation back three posts and repeat the same unsupported drivel, should be on a termination list.

We could initiate such a call upon majority vote. What's

wrong with that?

I misread the post.

I still think that a list could be made to

deal with the problem of distraction after repeated

postings that can't remember the point of the thread

and create unpopular distraction. Hell! I'd be on the

warning list all the time!

I'd have to behave!

whats wrong with that

by Randy Grant Monday, Nov. 04, 2002 at 9:10 AM

Here is whats wrong with that Sheepdog, if these people really are part of some larger organization creating a system of voting could allow this large organization to flood indymedia with droves of thier operatives kinda like how the republicans send down their staffers during the Florida election debacle to stop the recount. Unfortunatly the way our politics have been drilled into most peoples thought process there is left or right. In that bleak black and white view of the world Indymedia is definatly on the left side of the spectrum. I like to think of it as the honest side of the spectrum, but then I am not your average american who is unaware of how all corporate controlled media in at its top most level the same (well there are 6 different flavors at the top, but they all basically mirror eachother with minor differences).

So You don't think the numbers are right yet?

by Sheepdog Monday, Nov. 04, 2002 at 9:30 AM

Maybe then (I was unfamiliar with the traffic of read only) it might take a matter of time or numbers? Yes I totally

agree with you about your evaluation of the media process.

And purpose. I just thought it would give added empowerment and information flow for "our" side.

And it would have to depend on the "we have the numbers" factor as well as the general realtime information as clear of unpopular distractions as possible. Like I said, I and others would be inhibited from various spamming techniques

and just hateful crap.

Freedom a double edged sword

by Randy G. Monday, Nov. 04, 2002 at 9:33 AM

Freedom is a messy thing Sheepdog, if we want to be free to say what we have to say and we feel we are only saying the unsayable truth, then we have to be ready to allow those who are out to distort, deny and defame the truth to speak with that same freedom.

You are going to run into this problem anyway.

As soon as you become a determining factor as

as adversary you are going to attacked. I believe the

man hour attack would be self defeating by the cost,if id recognition eliminated the unpopular weasels by majority of large voting blocks.

If it's the factor of being anonymous, you are kidding me.

Another common tactic of disinformation

by Sheepdog Monday, Nov. 04, 2002 at 8:37 PM

The 'set up', a conversation between two 'adversaries'

in order to distract from a dangerous subject to confuse the thread on commonly known facts and arguments, on hot button side issues. Interesting isn't it?

The amount of time and money possibly involved most likely

by taxes we pay, in some trust or PR/Law agency.

I believe the threat to the people of america exists on

many levels too fucking coincidental to be believed.

It could be nuclear

It could be chemical

It could be biological

It could be HAARP

It could be Oooopps.

Production of surplus labor into a war economy sucks, doesn't it?

tiresome conversation

by moo Tuesday, Nov. 05, 2002 at 3:35 AM

anyone who feels threatened by free speach really should not be on indymedia.

sheepdog, your spam is about as tiresome as the 2 republican friends on line.

your ability to generate endless and mind-numbing "debates" is astounding.

Though the 2 occassionally have valuable insites, your reductive responses are not worth reading at all, you appologize for half the shit you write.

indymedia is about free speach and open conversation.

as a frequent volunteer to the LA IMC, if this element of the system is curtailed, I go with it.

The 2 folks respond most often to the worst ideological drivel and generate only the worst responses. Anyone who can't argue around them has a lot to learn from them and should be condemned to a chat room with them until they smarten up.

Sad it is to be defending the neo-cons, but your spam is about as interesting as shoe leather. Taken as an educational oportunity, reading some of your posts teaches me nothing other then reactive strategy best represented by the DLC-wing of the democratic party.
