Stop the War Against Iraq Before it Starts! The Green Party is the "Peace" Party! Come March for Peace!

Subject line: Updated Info.: All Greens Urged to Protest this
Sat., 10/26, in SF

--
Please Forward!!

Hey Greens!

Please do everything you can to join with us in the Green contingent
this Saturday at the huge peace march in San Francisco! The
organizers of the event have told us that they are preparing for an
attendance of 30,000 to 50,000, based on the volume of inquires they
are receiving, the number of buses that are being chartered, etc. --
in other words, one of the biggest protests in years!

Congress left millions of peace-loving, non-violent Californians
frustrated and feeling betrayed. Let's show them that the Green Party
is a political party that they can COUNT ON to stand up for Peace,
Justice and Democracy!

We are gathering at Justin Herman Plaza, at the foot of Market St.
(one block north of Embarcadero BART) -- look for the Green banners
and flags -- and wear Green! We need at least 50 people to leaflet
during the march and rally, monitor our float, and other crucial
jobs. If you can volunteer, please get to the edge of the Plaza,
near the Hyatt Hotel, by 10 am! (Otherwise, please try to arrive by
11 am to join in the Green contingent!).

PLEASE SEND AN E-MAIL BACK to Starlene Rankin at starlene@greens.org
right away to confirm you will be joining us this Saturday! (Please
also tell us if you can help volunteer). We'll have Green Party Peace
Flags and informational flyers. Please bring signs, banners, puppets,
drums and wear Green, if you can.

Stop the War Against Iraq Before it Starts!

For more details, please see the original announcement, which we've
copied below.

**************

The Original Announcement which was sent out earlier:

"Call for All Greens to Protest on Sat., Oct. 26 in SF"

Please Forward!!

Calling All Greens!

This is an urgent bulletin. We are asking your participation in
perhaps the *most important* event (in Northern California) of this
campaign season. We are calling on all the local Green Parties in
California to organize as many registered Greens in your county as
possible to come to San Francisco, on Saturday, October 26th, to
participate in a national Rally and March to Stop the War Against
Iraq!

Bush got his plan to wage a major war against Iraq approved by
Congress and left millions of peace-loving, non-violent Americans
frustrated and feeling betrayed. Let's show them that the Green Party
is a political party that they can COUNT ON to stand up for Peace,
Justice and Democracy!

This is the time for the Greens in California to show our numbers!
There are thousands of us..yet, we are portrayed as
insignificant..just a minor party (let's talk debates!). We know
we're not!

LET'S SHOW OUR NUMBERS, GREENS!! WE DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME TO ORGANIZE
TO GET FOLKS UP HERE, BUT WE CAN DO IT-- THIS IS AN EMERGENCY
RESPONSE TO A GRAVE PROBLEM THAT'S NOT GOING TO GET BETTER UNLESS WE
TAKE ACTION! THANKS FOR WORKING ON THIS!
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((GREENS))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Join us on October 26th, and if you can, please sign up to be a
demonstration-day worker. We need at least 50 people to leaflet
during the march and rally, monitor our float, and other crucial
jobs.

PLEASE SEND AN E-MAIL BACK to Starlene Rankin at starlene@greens.org
right away to confirm you will be joining us on October 26! We'll
have Green Party Peace Flags and informational flyers. Please bring
signs, banners, puppets, drums and wear Green, if you can.
