People in Los Angeles have a reputation for being lightweights in the progressive movement... Unfortunately, this is a label that is well deserved... Whereas San Francisco and Eugene/Portland have active progressive communities, Los Angeles has a handful of people who seem to be carrying the load... It is time for all readers of Indy Media to get off their ASSES and start attending progressive rallies, marches, and conferences... It's not like they are not out there... Life is not a fucking TV set and you are not a corporate couch potato... Attend, Participate, Donate and keep the Progressive community spark going... Screw the Conservatives, they are ignorant... Screw the Neo-Liberals, they are Fascists and self-righetous... Freedom of Speech... Freedom of Assembly... Freedom of Ideas!!!!!!!.. and a heartfelt thanks to the Organizers, who don't think for us, but help us to think for ourselves.
Stay home. It's too crowded on the freeway as it is.
Stop telling other people what to do and lead by example. No one likes being told what to do. If your goal is to get people to more rallies, demos, marches, meetings or whatever why not write something encouraging and give a link to some LA activist calendars.

Hey, if you're bored and idle in LA, there's plenty to do in OC. E-mail us, and we'll keep you updated on what to do out here. We're like LA, without the traffic...
Marc, My deepest apology for "telling you what to do." I guess I should have written "pretty please." Using your suggestion, maybe we should request, and not demand, that Mr. Bush avoid going to war with Iraq. "Now, Mr. President, we don't want to tell you what to do, but we have this really keen web link you can go to find an alternative solution to the Middle East problem." Yeh, that will work! The fact is that greater Los Angeles is the largest metropolitan area in the United States, yet our progressive events are sparsely attended when compared to other cities. How many wake-up calls do we need? Our purpose is to remind the progressive community that the status quo is not acceptable. If we stick to the norm, try not to offend, and be politically correct at all times, then we are doomed as a political movement. Your point is taken, but it is ridiculous.
As for Bush Admirer, Yes, it is Progressive - as in looking towards a better future, rather than Regressive which describes people who make goofy and pointless comments on IMC without any attempt to back them up with fact.
No. Whining and spamming on IMC like you, Bushbot, that is the height of uselessness. There is nothing more useless more worthless more unlikely to ever get laid, than a guy like you!
Bush Admirer .... Remember, you can't spell Whacko without "W"...... Mega dittos Rush!

You might want to read the one you just made, Bu(ll)sh(it) admirer
