Tomorrow morning at 8:30 in a court room in downtown LA, a proceeding begins in which a decision may be made about whether or not a jury trial will be scheduled in a case involving the new General Manager for KPFK FM, Eva Georgia and the non-profit Community Gay and Lesbian Center of Long Beach.

On April 29, 2002 a complaint was filed in California Superior Court in Los Angeles and thus Case BC273043 was official. Eva Georgia and two other former employees of the Gay and Lesbian Center of Long Beach are suing for wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, defamation and more. In the complaint Georgia and her co-plaintiffs are demanding a jury trial.

But the Non-Profit Community Center is fighting back. They filed a cross-complaint, and are demanding a jury trial as well.

A status conference on the case is scheduled for Tuesday, September 24th at 8:30 am at the Los Angeles County, California Superior Court House located at 111 North Hill Street, in downtown LA. To observe the proceedings go upstairs to department 25.
