There is much boasting by pundits here in Cali that , if we were an independent nation, we would be the fifth largest economy in the world. Maybe the time has come for us in Cali to become just that-our own nation, or simply autonomous, or our place at number 5 will not last much longer(not that it really matters).
According to many sources concerning the state of the (Americanized) global economy(McWorld),foremost among them From The Wilderness(linked below), the monster created by New York and Washington and enforced by the policies of the IMF/World Bank and World Trade Organization, may be about to turn on itself.
As the rest of the world becomes increasingly aware of, and tires of, the mega-rip-off known as "globalisation", people all over are turning away from dependence on goods and services from multi-national corporations and either "buying local" or at least discussing more sustainable and democratic alternatives.
California is now at a crossroad-we need to decide-should we break away from the U.S. and become politically(and economically) independent of the U.S.(with a Constitution based upon all the provisions of the U.N. Universal Declaration of Human Rights) and our own membership in the United Nations and join the rest of the world in discussing a democratic, sustainable economy for the world that will benefit everyone(whether it be Anarchist, Socialist, a little of both- or something different as long as it's both sustainable and Democratic)? or;
Will Cali become the sturn(back-end) of the U.S.A. Titanic as New York and Washington drag us down into the Abyss with them?
Which will it be Cali-go down with the McWorld rust-bucket, or join the Global Lifeboat fleet?
