Amanda Susskind, a prominent Los Angeles attorney with more than two decades of experience as a public and local Jewish community leader, has been named Director of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Pacific Southwest Regional Office.
ADL WELCOMES NEW LOS ANGELES REGIONAL OFFICE DIRECTOR
Los Angeles, September 13, 2002… Amanda Susskind, a prominent Los Angeles attorney with more than two decades of experience as a public and local Jewish community leader, has been named Director of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Pacific Southwest Regional Office. Ms. Susskind, who joined the League in July, will oversee the region.
“We are delighted to welcome Amanda as our new Los Angeles Regional Director,” said Bruce J. Einhorn, ADL Los Angeles Regional Board President. “Her knowledge of the local Jewish community, legal expertise and strong commitment to Jewish values and issues make her a tremendous asset to our organization.”
For most of her legal career, Ms. Susskind represented public entities. She served as a Senior Deputy County Counsel for the County of Los Angeles, as the City Attorney for the Cities of Agoura Hills and Hidden Hills, and as the Assistant City Attorney for the Cities of Diamond Bar, West Hollywood and Malibu. Ms. Susskind also served on the Los Angeles County Park and Recreation Commission from 1990 to 1995, and on the Los Angeles County Housing Commission from 1995 to 2000. In 2000, she was appointed to the California Coastal Commission, where she continues to serve.
“I went to law school to go into public service,” Susskind remarked. “The opportunity to serve the ADL is a logical extension of a long history of serving the community. I am honored and thrilled to be here.”
