As the anniversary of 9/11 approaches, there is fierce contention for public opinion. The politicians and much of the media are manipulating people’s grief and fear to push their agenda of war on the world and repression at home. At the same time, significant voices of opposition are beginning to speak out. The speakers at this forum have all played an important role in building resistance to the attacks on civil liberties. They will speak to various aspects of the repression and lead discussion about how to resist and rally others to do everything possible to stop these dangerous repressive measures.
