I hate this planet-raping, war-mongering, woman-hating, corrupt, greedy, elitist, fascist regime as much or more than anyone I can think of. And I would LOVE to protest him wherever he shows his sorry, scrawny ass. HOWEVER, I DID attend the last protest in Century City, and it was immediately taken over by Palestinians with commercial-size flags and electrified bullhorns. At that point, it just turned into a pro-Palestinian , anti-Israel rally, and I will not be a part of anything like that, nor will anyone else I know. When you people decide to have a strictly anti-bush rally -- and ONLY an anti-bush rally, just let me know. I'll be there with signs and plenty of steam!

Lefty Loonies Laundry List Lacking. Listen:

by Douglas O'Brien Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002 at 9:51 AM

No New War Against Iraq - Leave brutal dictators alone.
End U.S. Aid to Israel - Encourage homicidal bombers.
Stop Police Brutality and Racial Profiling - Criminals need hugs not clubs.
U.S. Troops Out of the Philippines, Korea, and Colombia - Let narcoterrorists and totalitarian thugs enslave those wogs.
Hands Off International Longshore and Warehouse Union - The longshoremen have a right to strike. 100 grand a year just doesn't pay the bills.
Money for Jobs - Not for a Phony War Against Terror - Money always creates jobs. And that phony blowing up the WTC thing: Classic.
Stop the Corporate Crime Wave – Now entering it’s 3,000th year and only now getting noticed. Must be a Republican in the White House.
Save the Environment from Profiteering - Yeah, let it all burn that'll show those greedy lumber companies.
No More Racist Scapegoating of Immigrants - Only 100% of the 9/11 terrorists are Arabic Islamists. not good enough for tighter scrutiny.

As much as I detest the corrupt shrub regime in the White House and nearly all of it's policies, I can not willingly attend the rally in LA on the 24th of August, where the group putting on the protest sets as one of its main elements... the end to aid to the Democratic State of Israel, who once again is under attack by its enemies who are without a doubt anti humanist terrorists.

Clearly the group putting on the rally is mis-aligned and sadly mis- informed on the Israeli survival issue, siding with a corupt, anti semetic and militant Arab POV.

Good luck on your other issues.

So what's the deal?

Where does one gather? Is there a group meeting up somewhere, then going?

i'm sure there'll be cordoned-off "1st Amendment Zones."

How do I get near?

Thanx,
captain mike

I think these guys are working with W's crew.

by TLM Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002 at 8:54 AM

Notice how these anti-Israel protesters show up with high-end gear and overpowering volume. They dominate the protests and make it look as if these are all anti-Israel protesters. Which allows the media to paint the whole protest as being pro-Palestinian or anti-American or even pro-terrorist. I think it smells of a set up… an attempt by the boy king to discredit protests and dissenters.

There are and have been severla protests against the GW Bush Administration in Los Angeles. One I think needs to have support is the grassroot protesters who gather along by the beaches. I am sure they will be forming for their cries are about the Bushes and their oil concerns. It is true that these "announced" rallys bring on more anti-Israel, anti-Palistinian, etc., protests but come to LA and just look around..there are protesters everwhere even where the Bushleaguers are trying to steer most away from. Join in at any time, or better yet, get a few friends togetther and start your own......on whatver you feel the need for. Drop the main press a line right before you attend (editorial desks, assignment editors). Announced rally's like this never work. Many of us like to keep the Republicans guessing, and the Bushleagers on their toes.

Tom

by thomas zovar Friday, Oct. 11, 2002 at 9:25 AM

Is it your normal attitude to hate every president? How can Bush be a woman hater, he married one. I think homosexuals are woman haters. Lets look at the whole, we need to be protected in this country and our defence is to protect our freedom at all cost. If you don't want freedom, move to another country, it's that simple. Most of the people who are against Bush are either in Afganistan, Iraq, or Pakistan right now. How about if we do some investigating on your background and check to see if you are related to any of the terrorist groups. I'll submit your name to Interpol. But please don't change your mind, you are in a free country that gives you the right to speak your mind. YOU JUST HAPPEN TO BE WRONG! Either you are for this country or not. God Bless America!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jesus can change your heart and mind if you ask Him to.

Stupid

IndiaMission2005@hotmail.com

I am so tired of hearing you people protest our president. He wants to protect you first and protect the people of Iraq, who by the way hate Saddam and don't want him in power, second. How then can you people put up those stupid signs with Bush's face on Hitlers body when it's Hussein who hates Jews? Why do you say Bush is "anti-people" when Hussein kills his own people mercilessly?! Don't you think it's time to cut the stupid act and back your country? Do you know you're American? I wish we could arrest people for treason! But we can't BECAUSE WE'RE FREE!!!!!!! and think that others should be allowed to be too!

You Warmongers...

by Diogenes Friday, Mar. 21, 2003 at 2:07 PM

...are a one note Samba. Because one is opposed to killing thousands of innocents to get one Brutal Dictator, much like the many Brutal Dictators who have been propped up by the U.S., does not mean you support Brutal Dictators. It means you oppose killing thousands of people to steal the countries Resources.

Anyone who thinks this war is about "liberating" the Iraqi people needs to swear off the Grape Kool-Aid.

The Moron Author of this Article

by Captain Freedom Friday, Mar. 21, 2003 at 2:18 PM

This comment is directed at the author of this article for showing such disrespect for our country and our leader. I sure hope that you are not an American Citizen. Beleive it or not, our President and our troops are out protecting you too, and what do you do to thank them? You call the President, Commander in Chief, a moron. Why don't you move the fuck out of this country if you don't like it. You peace protestors were fighting a stupid cause-- you would never have won because you were on the side of the terrorists. And before you bring up Vietnam, well bitch, this is going to be a nice short war which will end in a matter of weeks if not days. The vietnam War was 10 years long and it took years for the public opinion to move against the war. You should just forget about the whole protest business and return to your parents basement to smoke a joint and wait for your welfare check. Your a disgrace to your country, how can you talk like that about someone who is protecting you? If a regular person were to save you from something, would you also call them a moron. You can say whatever you want, but our media, our President, our troops, and our allies are doing a great job. You call them morons as if you would doa better job. Oh great, the first thing you would do is legalize marijuana? Right? Then you'd take our troops out of every foreign country and destroy all of our nuclear weapons? You know what? You are the biggest most worthless piece of shit I have ever read about! You sit there and bitch and complain while someone else is out there protecting you. I am in the Reserves and have just gottem called up to go there! So don't give me any of this fucking shit about how I'm not going to be doing anyhting! It just pisses me offf that dumbfucks like you sit there and do absolutely nothing to contribute to your country. Your all a bunch of free loaders who don't have an idea about the words "sacrifice" or "patriotism." Thank God that you are very small minority or I'd be surrounded by fucking retards!

Hey Cap'n,
"You call the President, Commander in Chief, a moron . . ."
The President is Commander in Chief of the armed forces, not us. He works for the people. This isn't fascist Italy, no matter how hard thugs like you try.

Besides, a draft dodger chickenhawk surrounded by draft dodger chickenhawks doesn't deserve to be Commander in Chief. If you don't like our form of government, get the fuck out of my country. Go die for oil. You are a disgrace to democracy and deserve to die. You are goose stepping propagandized piece of shit. Get off our website until you become more informed.

I agree....Garofelo is a dumb dyke

by Ben Dover Friday, Mar. 21, 2003 at 4:59 PM

President George W. Bush: Received a Bachelors Degree from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He served as an F-102 pilot for the Texas Air National Guard. He began his career in the oil and gas business in Midland in 1975 and worked in the energy industry until 1986. He was elected Governor on November 8, 1994, with 53.5 percent of the vote. In a historic re-election victory, he became the first Texas Governor to be elected to consecutive four-year terms on November 3, 1998 winning 68.6 percent of the vote. In 1998 Governor Bush won 49 percent of the Hispanic vote, 27 percent of the African-American vote, 27 percent of Democrats and 65 percent of women. He won more Texas counties, 240 of 254, than any modern Republican other that Richard Nixon in 1972 and is the first Republican gubernatorial candidate to win the heavily Hispanic and Democratic border counties of El Paso, Cameron and Hidalgo. (Someone began circulating a false story about his I.Q. being lower than any other President. If you believed it, you might want to go to URBANLEGENDS.COM and see the truth.)

Vice President Dick Cheney: Earned a B.A. in 1965 and a M.A. in 1966, both in political science. Two years later, he won an American Political Science Association congressional fellowship. One of Vice President Cheney's primary duties is to share with individuals, members of Congress and foreign leaders, President Bush's vision to strengthen our economy, secure our homeland and win the War on Terrorism. In his official role as President of the Senate, Vice President Cheney regularly goes to Capital Hill to meet with Senators and members of the House of Representatives to work on the Administration's legislative goals. In his travels as Vice President, he has seen first hand the great demands the war on terrorism is placing on the men and women of our military, and he is proud of the tremendous job they are doing for the United States of America.

Secretary of State Colin Powell: Was educated in the New York City public schools, graduating from the City College of New York (CCNY), where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in geology. He also participated in ROTC at CCNY and received a commission as an Army second lieutenant upon graduation in June 1958. His further academic achievements include a Master of Business Administration Degree from George Washington University. Secretary Powell is the recipient of numerous U.S. and foreign military awards and decorations. Secretary Powell's civilian awards include two Presidential Medals of Freedom, the President's Citizens Medal, the Congressional Gold Medal, the Secretary of State Distinguished Service Medal, and the Secretary of Energy Distinguished Service Medal. Several schools and other institutions have been named in his honor and he holds honorary degrees from universities and colleges across the country.

Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld: Attended Princeton University on Scholarship (AB, 1954) and served in the U.S. Navy (1954-57) as a Naval aviator ; Congressional Assistant to Rep. Robert Griffin (R-MI), 1957-59; U.S. Representative, Illinois, 1962-69; Assistant to the President, Director of the Office of Economic Opportunity, Director of the Cost of Living Council, 1969-74; U.S. Ambassador to NATO, 1973-74; head of Presidential Transition Team, 1974; Assistant to the President, Director of White House Office of Operations, White House Chief of Staff, 1974-77; Secretary of Defense, 1975-77

Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge: Was raised in a working class family in veterans' public housing in Erie. He earned a scholarship to Harvard, graduating with honors in 1967. After his first year at The Dickinson School of Law, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served as an infantry staff sergeant in Vietnam, earning the Bronze Star for Valor. After returning to Pennsylvania, he earned his Law Degree and was in private practice before becoming Assistant District Attorney in Erie County. He was elected to Congress in 1982. He was the first enlisted Vietnam combat veteran elected to the U.S. House, and was overwhelmingly re-elected six times.

National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice: Earned her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Denver in 1974; her Master's from the University of Notre Dame in 1975; and her Ph.D. from the Graduate School of International Studies at the University of Denver in 1981. (Note: Rice enrolled at the University of Denver at the age of 15, graduating at 19 with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science (Cum Laude). She earned a Master's Degree at the University of Notre Dame and a Doctorate from the University of Denver's Graduate School of International Studies. Both of her advanced degrees are also in Political Science.) She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and has been awarded Honorary Doctorates from Morehouse College in 1991, the University of Alabama in 1994, and the University of Notre Dame in 1995. At Stanford, she has been a member of the Center for International Security and Arms Control, a Senior Fellow of the Institute for International Studies, and a Fellow (by courtesy) of the Hoover Institution. Her books include Germany Unified and Europe Transformed (1995) with Philip Zelikow, The Gorbachev Era (1986) with Alexander Dallin, and Uncertain Allegiance: The Soviet Union and the Czechoslovak Army (1984). She also has written numerous articles on Soviet and East European foreign and defense policy, and has addressed audiences in settings ranging from the U.S. Ambassador's Residence in Moscow to the Commonwealth Club to the 1992 and 2000 Republican National Conventions. From 1989 through March 1991, the period of German reunification and the final days of the Soviet Union, she served in the Bush Administration as Director, and then Senior Director, of Soviet and East European Affairs in the National Security Council, and a Special Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs. In 1986, while an international affairs fellow of the Council on Foreign Relations, she served as Special Assistant to the Director of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
