Damn. When i first read sk!'s piece i reacted a bit defensively, protective of LAindy media. After reading the rants of 000, however, it became clear to me that there are some significant impediments to growth and evolution in the LA indy media project. At least one of the issues would seem to be problem pervasive in progressive movements throughout modern history -- the inclination of power structures in more or less successful socio/political formulations to become alienated from the communal process from which they sprung. 000 needs to reconsider his/her odd, reactionary rejection of sk!'s commentary -- which, after all, aims to be nothing more definative than merely the opening of an underexplored avenue of dialogue. Mellow out, 000. Attack dog tactics will only attract other dogs itching to fight.
