Politically Incorrect" CANCELLED!

ABC is canceling Bill Maher's late-night topical talk show, "Politically Incorrect," and replacing it with an entertainment show led by Comedy Central's Jimmy Kimmel, co-host of "The Man Show," an unabashedly stupid and infantile "beer-and-babes" comedy that revels in being sexist. The new show is scheduled to premiere in January.

"Politically Incorrect" was believed to be in trouble ever since Maher, in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, was quoted as referring to past United States military actions as "cowardly." FedEx and Sears pulled their advertising from the show.

ABC Chairman Lloyd Braun said Maher's controversial comments had nothing to do with the decision to replace him. "We made a decision to go with straight entertainment programming in late-night," Braun said on Tuesday. The network is interested in building a late-night entertainment franchise to reach desirable younger viewers.

I thought he was an asshole. Always so smug and self-righteous, a real prick. I remember when he told that group of brothas to shut up during a movie and they beat his ass down. I was like, right on my brothas!

Then when he got sweated for saying that shit about 9-11 I actually started to feel sorry for the guy. Not that I agree with him on just about anything but he still should not have been cancelled.

I'm not going to watch ABC anymore.

Sure Bill Maher is an ass but at least there was something to think about.

They also want to pull Ted Koppel.

Well I'd like ABC to know that they've lost this "younger viewer" and that their channel is crap.
