The California Department of Transportation is apparently conducting surveillance along certain highways. CA DOT is contacting motorists with a letter asking them if they were at a certain route at a certain time, and then asking them to answer a survey.
The California Department of Transportation is sending survey letters to motorists who drive along certain routes at certain times. No doubt they are scanning in license plate numbers and cross-indexing them with the DMV via computer. Some of the survey questions are real invasions of privacy. I need not comment on how this will affect dissenters or, for that matter, anyone else. So I threw up a web page on this matter.
