Dear Radio Friend,

The latest Shortwave Report (March 22) is up at the website http://www.outfarpress.com/outfarpress/shortwave.shtml in both broadcast quality (13.7MB) and quickdownload or streaming form (3.4MB) (30:00) It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application

(RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.

This program will be aired at 7pm PST this Friday evening at KZYX/Z Philo CA and you MIGHT be able to stream via http://www.kzyx.org/ This stream is often unreliable.

There are several other streams that work quite well- http://members.cruzio.com/~frsc/ Freak Radio Santa Cruz streams this program on Friday at 5:35pm and on Monday at 9am.

Also check out LavaLamp Radio (Japan)- http://www.rinku.zaq.ne.jp/bkaec205/

streaming the SWR at Fri 9:30PM/ Sat 9:30AM PM/ Sun 9:30AM PST

This week's show features stories from Radio Deutsche Welle, Radio Havana Cuba, China Radio International, Spanish National Radio, Radio Netherlands, and the Voice of Russia.

From Germany- Germany's Foreign Minister spoke to the UN Human Rights Commision, describing how liberty must not be sacrificed for security; the OSCE held a conference on preventing and combatting violence against women; Mary Robinson, top UN Human Rights official, will not seek a new term in the office, to the disappointment of human rights organizations around the world.

From Cuba- human rights groups are accusing Washington of forcing Mary Robinson to relinquish her UN post; more Israeli soldiers have been jailed for refusing to serve in occupied Palestinian territories.

From China- a Chinese delegation in Geneva describes FaLongGong practicioners as evil; China says human rights are not improved by political confrontations.

From Spain- a report on the political execution in Italy, claimed by the urban guerilla group the Red Brigade; Mary Robinson has spoken out against both rt-wing and left-wing rebels in Columbia.

From Netherlands- both left-wing and rt-wing paramilitaries have denied involvement in the murder of an Archbishop last weekend; Japan has lodged a complaint with the WTO against the US steel tariff.

From Russia- the French Prime Minister has advised the US to abandon exclusive claims to being the judge and police for the world; Russia continues to oppose any force used in Iraq or elsewhere without UN approval; the Pentagon says the US needs to resume nuclear testing.

All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station.

I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners)

are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. MAny thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt!
