Hey all you peace-lovin' LA folks!!

As you may already know, there will be a massive march for peace this april, 4/20, in Washington D.C. to demand demilitarization at home and abroad, an end to racial profiling, money for education not bombs, and a foreign policy based on social and economic justice instead of military and corporate oppression. This is more than just a march; it is a kick-off to a LONG-term campaign of student and youth anti-war organizing. More info can be found at:

A group of students at the Claremont Colleges is planning to send some people to D.C. and to organize a local solidarity action in either Claremont or in L.A. Ideally, this would be a larger action in LA with a diversity of participants. Which is where you all come in!

If you would like to help plan an action for peace with justice for Saturday, April 20th, please respond to this message, and we can start coordinating. Next week is spring break for us Claremonters, but after that we'd like to have a meeting with anyone in and around LA who's interested in organizing around this date.

PLEASE forward this message to other LA folks who you think would be interested in organizing a solidarity action!!!

In peace,
Abigail Singer
