KPFK Announces the Departure of Host Marc Cooper

Los Angeles, CA -- KPFK (90.7 FM) announces the departure

of afternoon host Marc Cooper. Cooper, a journalist

who is also a contributing editor to The Nation and a

columnist for the LA Weekly, is leaving KPFK after

five years to pursue other journalism opportunities.

"Marc Cooper is a fine journalist, we appreciate the

work he's done at KPFK over the years, and look

forward to his continued efforts on Radio Nation,"

said Steven Starr, KPFK's interim general manager.

"I've had a great five year run here," said Cooper.

Radio Nation, co-produced by KPFK and The Nation

Institute, and anchored by Marc Cooper, will continue

to air on KPFK.
