JOHN TRUDELL is a Native American Spoken Word Artist and Musician of extraordinary power. Born of the Santee Sioux Nation,Trudell spent years working with the American Indian Movement (AIM), and was one of those who seized Alcatraz Island in an attempt to bring attention to the plight of indigenous people.

In 1979, while serving as the National Chairman of AIM, he lost his Wife and three Children when a fire of suspicious origin burned down his home on the Shoshone Paiute Reservation in Nevada. Since those days, Trudell has turned to Music and has released a number of stunning CD's that combine traditional drumming and rhythms with his pointedly political poetry, the latest CD release being BONE DAYS.

This coming March 8th, on International Women's Day, Trudell will be performing at L.A.'s ROXY nightclub on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. All profits from ticket sales will go directly to the United States Association for United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and will be used in relief programs for Afghan Refugee Women.

You can purchase tickets at the ROXY box office or by calling TICKETMASTER, at: 213-480-3232.
