Some fifty people gathered in front of KPFK to voice their profound displeasure towards the station's policy of censorship. African American and Latino youth joined the picket line to shout, "What do we want? FREE SPEECH! When do we want it? NOW!" Amy Goodman called by way of Cel Phone,
and her words were broadcast to the crowd over a megaphone. Goodman congratulated Fidel Rodriguez for his fine show... and also the crowd for defending "Seditious Beats."

It was amazing to hear Amy Goodman's voice broadcast in such a manner. Amazing to hear Rappers on the street, "dissing" KPFK for becoming corporate and boring. Amazing to see so many young people engaged in a struggle for Democratizing a Radio Station. Call or e-mail KPFK's General Manager, Mark Schubb... and demand that "Seditious Beats" be put back on the air! GM@kpfk.org (818 985-2711 Ext: 503)
