Protest Racist, Nazi Immigrant Bashers in OC THIS SATURDAY DEC 8

We talk about having to always drive to LA to go to protests. WEll guess

what this is an issue that is effecting THOUSANDS of immigrants living right

here in Orange County, and we need to show them our support and solidarity,I

hope you all will join us on Saturday Dec 8 for the protest and if you can

on Dec 4 Tuesday at 4:00 pm for the city council meeting where we can

actually have a few minutes to speak. READ BELOW PLEASE to see what's going

LOCATION: 200 South Anaheim Blvd.

Immigrant Hate groups (Nazis) will take to the streets and be protesting on

Dec 8th,2001 in front of the Anaheim City Council. These are known as the

"American Patrol" and the "California Coalition for Immigrant Reform"

AUTHORS OF PROP.187/ Tjeu are calling this protest

"A defense of The Homeland" They want the Anaheim City Council to recall the

rights that illegal immigrants recently won in Anaheim to be able to carry

our legal identification card so they are able to open bank accounts. They

want to recall this simple act.

We cannot let hate groups spread their racist filth without strong organized

opposition. Please tell your community groups, classmates, political

organizations, and friends about this protest, and joins us in opposing

fascism and racism.

Fascism is built from above and below by racist scapegoating. As Rev.

Neimoller said of Hitler’s Germany, “First they came for the communists, and

I did nothing, because I was not a communist … When they came for me, there

was no one left to do anything.” In the USA today, immigrants are the “first

they came for.” In Anaheim, the vigilante American Patrol, which has called

for mass expulsions, is holding a racist rally claiming to ‘defend the

homeland.’ In Washington DC, George Bush and John Ashcroft are riding

roughshod over human rights with disappearance-style detentions, racial

profiling, proposals for the use of torture in interrogations, military

tribunals for non-US nationals, and the repressive USA PATRIOT law, whose

anti-immigrant provisions were rubber-stamped by Congress with no ‘sunset’

provision. In Afghanistan, US bombing is creating a humanitarian crisis and

hundreds of thousands of new refugees face starvation. The time is NOW to

stand up against racism, repression and scapegoating! December 10 is the

anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Unless we act to

defend those under attack, all our rights will be sacrificed in the name of

military might and “national security.” Students, labor, environmentalists,

& prisoners are all being threatened. Our only real security is in

solidarity!
