Approximately 250 protesters showed up at the Westwood Federal Building to continue protesting the ongoing war as Ramadan began. In a way it felt as much like a community meeting as a demonstration, with the usual line of literature tables along the grass, people holding signs along the edge of the sidewalk, and people milling in between, discussing past and upcoming actions, possible developments in the war and opposition to it. There was a definite sense of being in a transitional lull, where the future direction was uncertain, but bound to be significantly different than the present.
As long as the war continues, we'll make sure our voices are heard -- either at the Westwood Federal Building or somewhere else in LA. No doubt, most (if not all) of the demonstrations will be posted on the IMC-LA Calendar, which is on the front page of http://la.indymedia.org just below the newswire.
