A 30 minute review of news and opinions recorded from a shortwave radio. 2 files- broadcast quality 13.6MB/ quickdownload & streaming 3.4MB. Free to rebroadcast upon notification. Times and freqs for listening at home. China, Netherflands, Cuba, Germany

The latest Shortwave Report (November 16) is up at the website-http://www.outfarpress.com/outfarpress/shortwave.shtml in both broadcast quality (13.6MB) and quickdownload or streaming form (3.4MB) (29:51) It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (Real Player, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.

This week's show features stories from China Radio International, Radio Netherlands, Radio Havana Cuba, and Radio Deutsche Welle.

From China- China told a UN conference it will continue to persue a moratorium on nuclear tests; China's farmers will be greatly reduced following China's entrance into the WTO.

From Netherlands- an interview with a spokesperson from Doctors Without Borders discussing changes in intellectual properties rights that will make pharmaceuticals available in 3rd world nations; the UN warned the US and Britain to prevent the Northern Alliance from committing human rights violations; those fears of human rights violations are being witnessed.

From Cuba- 2 drivers from UNICEF in Afghanistan are executed by the Northern Alliance; the US announced to the UN Security Council its right to attack other countries in the future; progressive groups in Miami are putting together relief aid for the Cuban people.

From Germany- German citizens try to stop the shipment of nuclear waste; a report from Man & Environment on the outcome of the UN Conference on Climate Change just completed in Morocco.

All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station.

I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated.
