For instance, if you thought you voted for Gore. But because of the ballot layout you realize you actually voted for Bush; then to leave no question as to who you were voting for ... you WROTE IN Gore. Your ballot doesn't count because it has 2 votes on it.
The CNN propaganda does, eventually, in a round about way, say that if those disqualified votes were counted Gore would have picked up thousands of votes ... and ... uh... get more votes than .. the other guy, but .... Bush Still Wins!
What a load o'crap.
Time to pull the plug on those assholes!!!
In the middle of the story, it mentions that using the Palm Beach standard, "the study shows a slim, 42-vote margin for Gore." What the story doesn't say is that this standard--commonly treated as suspect--is the one that the patent-holder who invented the voting machines said should be used, because of how the machines could clog. When you cut through all the spin, distortions and outright lies, and get to the bedrock of basic fact, this is what you get.
This is even before considering the votes numbering in the thousands which the study itself says would have gone to Gore if not for the confusing ballot design in Palm Beach and a number of other countries.
Then you get all the other shennanigans, such as thousands of Democratic voters (disproportionately black) kept from voting by the purge of voter rolls, by police checkpoints, by failure to properly implement Motor Voter, and a variety of other dirty tricks. These were never a part of this study to begin with.
So, once again, we have corporate headline news which stands reality on its head. Why am I not surprised?
