MAY DAY ARRESTEES WHO'VE DECIDED TO TAKE THEIR CASES TO TRIAL ARE BEING THREATEND WITH 3 YEAR JAIL SENTANCES!

TO THIS VERY DAY, "RUCKUS", ANOTHER MAY DAY ARRESSTEE HAS BEEN IN JAIL SINCE MAY 1ST ON FALSE CHARGES!!

On May 1st, 2001, about 150 people gathered in an upscale part of Long Beach, California, to march against capital. As the demonstrators marched through the streets peacefully, the Long Beach police began striking a number of demonstrators with batons. These attacks were completely unprovoked. As the demonstrators were pushed near an upscale hotel, police began firing upon the crowd with 12 gauge shotguns using rubber bullets. 92 of the demonstrators were arrested and booked on a number of charges, including conspiracy and unlawful assembly

The protesters were non-violence, but the police were not. Several protesters suffered injuries ranging from minor bruises, to broken bones and penetrating wounds. The corporate media printed lies that depicted the protesters as violent criminals rather than politically conscience young activists.

A group of 9 arrestees that went to court on the 23rd chose to reject the plea-bargain and had their trial date set for November 15th. The Judge and the prosecution have been pressing very hard for the arrestees to take plea bargains (one year probation, and a 5 fine), and were visibly disturbed to learn that these 9 people were refusing the plea 'deal' and going to trial. After the 9-11 terrorist attacks, those going to trial are being threatened with serious jail time, and are no longer allowed to accept the plea bargain without serving 30 day's in jail. These nine people are facing 7 bogus misdemeanor charges. Rob Middaugh (aka Ruckus) who was also arrested is the only one still in jail as of today on false charges of conspiracy and assault.

Raisethefist founder, (aka: anti) had filmed the entire event, showing the police take power-swings with their batons into the backs and stomachs of peaceful demonstrators, trying to plant incriminating evidence in the march, shooting people with shot guns (loaded with rubber projectiles) in the stomach, back, and face, and generally terrorizing the demonstrators in a bloody outragious attack. The video tape proved the inocence of the demonstrators, and the guilt of the Long Beach Police Department. However, once a lawyer was finally able to get the video tape from the police, we learned that it had been erased by the Long Beach Police Department.

The LONG BEACH POLICE ARE PURPOSLY SURPRESSING EVIDENCE THAT PROVES OUR INOCENCE, IN ATTEMPT TO CHARGE US WITH BOGUS, UP THE ASS, BULLSHIT CHARGES FOR TRYING TO EXPRESS FREE SPEECH!!!!
