MAKING IT REAL

by Andrea Cagan Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001 at 1:16 PM

This piece is about my trip from Los Angeles to New York three weeks after the violence. It talks about my impressions of Ground Xero, from the smells to seeing the National guard to confronting the truth about the presence of evil in the world.

Seriously.

Although I do wonder why the writer's first tears were an image on CNN, of an Afghan refugee, after she had just been in person to the site where someone she knew and more than 6000 others had died, and the smell was in the air. . . etc.

just found that odd.
