PROMOTING PEACE IS NOT TREASON.

by TINKIN.COM Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001 at 7:23 AM

We protest because we love this country; because we believe in democracy; because we feel responsibilities to build a better world. Don't let your patriotism blindfold your eyes of justice.

What do you love about the United States?

And what have you done to prove it?

Forgive me if I'm skeptical of your claims of patiotism.

I don't know if I've seen any government OTHER than the US criticized on this page.

I don't know if I've ever seen fundamentalist, militant Islam criticized on this page.

I know that on this page I've seen scads of criticisms of the American government, media and the capitalist economic system which gives this nation its unprecedented power.

"Obedeince to your government is not always patriotic. Likewise, dissent is not always patriotic either."

(Betcha you don't know where that quote comes from.)

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.

But when one advocates 'peace' in the face of an enemy who has announced his intent to destroy us, and is actively trying, it is at the least, absolutely imbecilic.

The day after Pearl Harbor, the Japanese were all -for- peace.

Lastly, when the 'peace' marches are organized by 'ANSWER' a front for the Marxist-Leninist Worker's World Part/International Action Center, it tips the scales even further.

Do you suppose

Do you suppose they would say we want peace when the terrorists are killing them?
