The Red Cross says the compound was clearly marked

An International Red Cross warehouse was hit on Tuesday by a US bomb which destroyed wheat and other humanitarian supplies. One Afghan member of staff was seriously injured in the attack on a compound in northern Kabul, the ICRC told BBC News Online.

The blunder follows the killing of four Afghan guards from a UN mine clearance agency in Kabul nearly two weeks ago when another bomb went astray as well as several villagers when two bombs meant for Kabul airport went astray.

The Pentagon has yet to comment, but said earlier that dozens of US navy and air force planes hit other targets throughout Tuesday, including the capital, Kabul.

who are the enemies?

Someone please remind me who the enemy is supposed to be here? Was it ever the innocent Afghan people? If they were not enemies before they sure are now. Truly we are all potential 'collateral damage'. Next time a US building comes tumbling down you won't find me whining - I learned my lesson.
