about 100-150 people gathered in front of the federal buidling on wilshire in westwood-- in general a lot of honking/support/peace sign-ing, etc. but, not surprisingly, when it started to get dark and the protest grew smaller, some less supportive passer-bys got braver: a lot of 'fuck you's and 'go home';one guy waved his confederate flag from his car and pointed to a swaztika tattoo on his arm; a few protestors got hit with eggs; we were called communists, hippies, cowards and 'complete scum'; flicks of the middle finger were all over the place...... how brave people are from the security of their cars.
