A number of anti-retaliation rallies have begun in Japan this week urging the United States to refrain from military aggression, and to prevent Japan from supporting such actions in response to last week's tragedies. This issue has been a sensitive one for Japan because it is hinged on Article 9 of the Constitution which defines to what degree Japan is able to participate in international conflicts.
