Upwards of 400 anti-War activists gathered at the Westwood Federal Building to call for a peaceful resolution of the crisis. The political opinions of those who gathered ran the gambit of American public opinion, and all races

were represented. Most of the protestors were young, and many Students were involved. With the calls for revenge and war so plentiful in the current US political landscape, many demonstrators felt apprehensive about demonstrating at all, but those courageous enough to exercise their

Constitutional rights learned a valuable lesson. The thousands of people driving by in their cars decorated with American Flags were receptive to the message of Peace... in fact, most occupants of such cars gave the Peace sign, thumbs up sign, or honked their car horns in agreement!

Americans ARE united in their opposition to Terrorism... but they are NOT united in wanting war.

The STOP THE WAR COALITION (818) 402-8360, will be sponsoring another gathering for Peace on Saturday the 29th, 2 pm, at the Westwood Federal Building (corner of Wilshire Blvd. and Veteran).
