I'll probably wind up on some government "list" for saying so, but the horror of the World Trade Center tragedy is exceeded only by the terror of the armageddon about to be unleashed.

In every way we as a nation are as impotent and doomed as the passengers on those ill-fated airliners - headed at high speed for oblivion with fanatical lunatics at the controls.

I keep imagininging what kind of horror must be experienced by those who have no sense of community except for a 'virtua',' cyber community which which to share theri their deepest fears. My hope is that each of us will learn to use these tools appropriatly, recognize that they are of value but that the value is limited, and that we will seek out human connections to try and validate our sanity during these maddening times.
