A global economic boycott must be waged against the state of Israel to bring this despotic and racist regime to its knees until it STOPS ITS REPRESSION OF THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE!!! Only worldwide action will put a stop to the Israeli government's monsterous conduct! PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD-don't buy Israeli products! Don't travel to Israel! Withdraw your money from Israeli banks! SHUT ISRAEL'S ECONOMY DOWN!!!

Have the Palestinian people called for such a boycott? Because they will be affected by it. Boycotts should never be enacted unless the people you are hoping to help suggest it. Otherwise, you may be doing more harm than good.

Here in Berkeley (and elsewhere) we are preparing to add Israel to the list of nations to divest from, much the same way we led the divestment drive from South Africa. This campaign is led by Arab americans.

The economy of the Palestinian occupied land is in such bad shape that it could get no worse. Unemployment is already at 50%... there is little access to medical care (a 10 mile trip can take hours). Things have gotten much worse in the days of the misnamed peace process (except for Arafat and a few of his cronies), even before the current uprising. So Yes, people must speak up and boycott Apartheid.
