Activists are gathering at Italian embassies all over the world on Aug 20th to protest the police killing of Carlo Giuliani, the brutal police repression, and against the policies of the G8.

Rally in front of the Italian Consulate in Los Angeles to protest the murdering of our brother Carlo Giuliani by the fascist world capitalist forces, and to show solidarity with all G8 protesters, and the movement against corporate globalization.

We must seize this opportunity to rise up and restore democracy by continuously setting a world time and date for a World-Wide General Strike. We will take no more! Our comrade Carlo will not be forgotten! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Bring signs, puppets, flags, banners, drums, and most importantly your voice.

Let this be an international day of action in solidarity with our fallen comrades in G8, and to express outrage against corporate globalization!

The Italian ship Cielo de Francisco arrived in Long Beach harbor at 1:50 pm on Sunday, August 19th. The ship was blocked by protesters in Portland Oregon and Oakland, California. Southern California activists have caled for an early Monday morning pickett line to protest the resent repression and murder of protesters in Genoa.

is there anything particularly pressing about this Italian ship, or is it simply a symbol to protest against?
