Dear all,
I believe respect is a two-way street. Groups using Black Block Tactics must work with others in the movement to insure we do not hurt each other or the cause for which we're fighting. Just as NGO's must do the same.
In future actions coordination is essential! For without coordination and minimal joint planning the police and their infiltrators will repeat the scenario we just saw play out in Genoa.
The police now know very well the vulnerabilities of our movement and they will exploit our divisions and lack of communication to destroy our credibility with each other and the public who we must win over if we are going to win.
It is now clear that they will infiltrate the black block groups to sow terror and disunity whenever possible. The only protection we have from these increasingly sophisticated police tactics of divide and conquer - is to do our very best to coordinate our activities, make contingency plans for the unexpected and employ security measures to identify and isolate infiltrators and provocateurs.
I strongly advocate in depth discussion and planning between NGOs and black block groups before the Sept/Oct WB/IMF actions in DC.
It seems clear that to avoid a repeat of Genoa and Gottenborg we must talk to each other as equals and understand that the tactics and strategies we employ in the next 12 months can either strengthen or destroy the global social justice movement.
I'm a pacifist and a non-violent
I don't believe respect is a two-way street becuase black blocks don't respect us
I don't respect them because they don't work for the cause but against it and everything as well
We don't want you in our demostration, we don't you at uor side
stay at home and destroy your supermarket or your local shop

"We dont want you." What the fuck does that mean? Look, I am a supporter of non violence and civil disobedience as well. But you cant act like this is a revolution that is for one type of protestor and not others. Anarchists have a very importaint part in this whole thing as well an everyone else. The type of people who probably DONT belong doing this are worms like you. Where would Gahndi have been without the Seeks? Where would King have been without X? Would either Gahndi or King have made a shit of a difference in Nazi Germany? What about X or the Seeks? Ask yourself some very serios questions before you make blanket statements fool! You dont own this movement, no one and everyone does and people have a FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT as human beings to react however and whenever they chose. Its not like the pacifists are the good guys and the Anarchists are the bad guys dum-dum. The pacifists and the Anarchists are the good guys and the state are the bad guys! Its not your revolution to include or exclude who you want, its everyones who would like to be a part of it. Thank god above we are not all the same.
Davide,
you're an idiot. you're falling into the trap of:
1. believing what the press is telling you about the
BB. remember that the police initiated and is responsible
for most of the violence, and instigated much of it dressed up as BB members. go to www.indymedia.org for a history
lesson.
2. you say, "We don't want you in our demostration."
who the fuck made it your demonstration? this is exactly
the point the above writer is trying to make.. that there
needs to be discussion on tactics.
