Why are so few Immigrant-Americans without Housing?

Many Immigrants are living in poverty but few are without a place to live. That's right. Income, benefits and social services must rise. Not the false assumption that construction of apartments is needed. They are needed to some degree. There are only a few hard edge homeless people. We describe this

The Task Force for the Homeless states without a doubt that their are nearly 25,000 homeless people in Atlanta. Go to a Food Not Bombs serving and ask them. They say they serve about 100-200 people a day.

Part of this discrepancy stems from the fact that the TFFH counts anyone who has received assistance in that calendar year.

So if your girlfriend hit you with an imported beer bottle and you moved away to get safe and you did'nt have a

safe place for 3 days while you stayed with friends and you needed a voucher you are counted as homeless by the TFFH. So are with veterans who have mental illnesses, people who got addicted to crack and overslept their job at the warehouse, people who are in severe poverty.

Both count as 1 but these people are not in equal categories. That's one reason people do not want to help people without housing in Atlanta, it's not always indifference or their own suffering sometimes they are driven away by the faulty science that drives some of the debate.
