Reports from Beatrice, secretary of the Timber and Construction Workers Union, and journalist Max in Papua New Guinea.. the students have been going around warning about the WTO/World Bank inspired governmental effort to register the people's land.. registration is the first step to taking the land and selling the land. The land is communally owned by the women in Papua New Guinea... the demonstrations started last week, the University of PNG students knew what they were going to do, take a petition to the prime minister... the pm came out after much delay, took the petition and left without answering the complaint.. the students stayed all night, and left the next day.. then at the campus the police came in and started shooting... special units, trained by Australian government, which backs this WTO program, to keep wages down in this old Australian colony.. the students were running around, not sure where to go.. bullets flying everywhere.. the people support the students.. the soldiers starting now also
