The reason the cops are posted is to protect the innocent people. The protestors in the past have smashed windows and resorted to other acts of violence and vandalism. If you want to get your message out, do it peacefully and not like a bunch of animals.

I was in the march on Sunday, and can attest that if the cops hadn't been protecting the joint, the drummer boy marching with the helmet that had "funeral" stickers all over it wouldn't have been able to buy the McDonald's hamburger I saw him eating. He was eating a damn burger on Harbor Drive right in the crowd in front of the Convention Center. The same drummer was at the Burger King the next freakin' day, wearing a furry pink costume, protesting with PETA.
