Just a few activists were willing to sit in the sun and listen directors of organizations talk about the reasons for the protests and declaration of sentiment of the protestors.

The police presence, however, was great. Across the street from the mostly empty Starlight Bowl were hoards of police officers. All of them mostly just hanging around socializing under the shade where only a few weeks ago hundreds of people gathered to visit the Circus Vargas show.

Today was a much hotter day for San Diegans. The weather today was only 62-72 degrees Faranheit, but for San Diegans it was pretty damn hot today. People were complaining about the weather, and demanded that the organizers provide the attendees with more water. The organizers of the BioJustice provided some water but ran out near the middle of the event, and only offered water to those medically in need of water.

Police presence is so great, just two blocks away from the SDIMC there are police officers with a Jerome's Furniture store truck blocking the north bound traffic to 16th street.

There are cops circling the IMC almost 24 hours a day.

And on the campus of City College there were groups of police officers outside of a van just talking and also hanging out.
