Upcoming L.A. Punk Concert to raise legal aid monies for May Day protestors assaulted by Police in Long Beach

ART FOR A CHANGE will be presenting a slide show of Protest Art at the upcoming MAY DAY Benefit Show being organized by the "Alternative Gathering Collective" (AGC). The slide show, consisting of images created by Artists from different times and places, will illustrate how current oppositional culture is part of a historical trend. The June 24 Concert will raise Legal Aid money for protestors who were assaulted by Police during last month's May Day March in Long Beach California. Noise bands SQUAB, THE VOIDS, RESIST AND EXIST, HOLOKAUST, DISSENSION, and

ENDLESS NECROPOLIS, will provide the fresh young sound of the final collapse. Revellers will be able to enjoy Vegan food and book booths offering works on Feminism, Ecology, and Human Rights. The festival of the Oppressed takes place at THE SMELL, in downtown L.A. The fun starts at 2pm and runs until 7pm. Those arrested on May Day get in for free. All ages welcome. Bring earplugs.
