Youth Organizing Communitites met on June 2nd and the 3rd. The purpose of the media camp was to learn, share, and practice training skills in order to mainpulate and use independent media.

On June the 2nd and 3rd the youth got together to dialogue about the influence that main stream media plays in our daily lives and also the power that the independent media has. We first came together with about 50 youth from the bay area, San Diego, and LA. From then on we seperated to different groups and had different workshops such as radio, print, graphic designing, web, and video. As a collective everyone is working on building a network where youth of color are working to create our own media and have our voices heard. Our specific group went on to learn how to create our own website. Now we are at Inner City Struggle in Boyle Heights, LA putting to use our skills. HOW DID WE DO???
