More than a dozen Mexicans perished in the desert this week due to the get-tough border policies implemented by Clinton and continued by Bush. Because border enforcement has been tightened in urban areas under the get-tough policy initiated under the Clinton administration, Mexican migrant workers have been driven to cross the border in more remote areas. As a result, more than a dozen Mexicans perished in the desert just this week alone.
In response, Anti-Mexican bigots in California celebrated and took the occasion to threaten future militia violence.
