****For Immediate Release****
San Diego High School Principal abruptly removed 6 weeks before graduation. Parents, students and community members outraged at another "behind the scenes" unilateral decision and complete disregard for students. Top 2 Vice Principals will also be gone by June 30th.
What: Press conference held by San Diego High School parents and community members to express outrage over sudden removal of strong community leader.
Why: On May 7th, 2001 Alan Bersin's Administration notified the San Diego High School Governance Board that Mr. Alfaro would be removed by May 9th, just 6 weeks before graduation, with no apparent justification. The lack of foresight creates grave concern for the school environment.
Who: Parents, Members of the PTSA, The San Diego Alumni Association, the San Diego Foundation and other organizations.
When: Friday, May 11, 2001
10:00 a.m.
San Diego High School (Front Steps) 1405 Park Ave.
"As volunteers we are in support of students year after year, not just the current students and we feel that our evaluation of Mr. Alfaro is valid. Our voice needs to be heard." Sam Salazar- San Diego High School Alumni Association, President.

I don't know... I'd like to know the whole story? but there have been cases of this, but I'd just like to know how you could protest this case, and ask for solidarity without informing us why we should? for just unknown reasons? what's the official story behind the official story, could you ask the principal to make a statement through indymedia? z
