Pilipino Workers in Los Angeles with a message for the World!

Up to three thousand or more people took part in a May Day protest that marched through L.A.'s Korea Town district to Macarthur Park, an area populated by poor Mexicano and Central American Immigrants. A great number of those who marched were Pilipino Workers, who are super exploited in
L.A.'s menial labor market. Many Women participated in the Workers march, no doubt brought into the protest through the hard work of the Pilipino Worker's Center (PWC). While photographing the crowd I felt a tug at my shirt sleeve... I looked around to find a lovely Pilipina Lady who practically begged me to take a photograph of her group. I'm glad she got my attention because the result was this terrific photo. The beautiful spirits of these Workers and their profound message should reach across ALL borders!
