Black Bloc incite the San Diego Police at the FTAA Protest

The San Diego Police for no apparent reason decided to march along the adjacent fence along Highway 5 right before the Tijuana Border crossing, before stopping in front of the Black Bloc. The Black Bloc responded by first throwing flowers and then stones at the police. The police responded by brandishing tear gas guns, yet luckily never fired them.

They were to scared

by Agent Pookie Friday, Apr. 27, 2001 at 3:42 AM

The Black Bloc put fear into the SDPD. They knew that if they fired at us, then it wouldn't just be the bloc attacking the police. The police got hit and stood there. They were told if they did not disperse they would have to be removed by force (We announced it with a bullhorn). Unfortunatlly the police took an agressive stance and brandished weapons at the bloc. The bloc responded by throwing less than lethal weapons at the police. The bloc felt that they had successivley supressed the police and stopped their attack. Hurrah for the BB! You people did a great job in SD!

yes, they were scared

that's me right there holding that camera. lol kinda hit me with a shock... anyway, yes , they were scared. You could see it in their eyes. The thing that did suprise me however is that they did not shoot at anyone despite what was thrown over the fence. If that was the LAPD, they'd start shooting regardless if anything was thrown over the fence. I think what the SDPD has to relize, is that their children are people too. We are fighting for their childrens rights as well, they don't know that because they're sucked into this pro authoritarian ego that consumes every last bit of cognotive power in their skulls. If they actually did care, and were aware, i'm sure they would quit their jobs. The cops were in SUCH denial. I see this with every cop. Even the LAPD. All in denial. For instance, this one person came up to the fence, pointed at a cop and said, "we need those fucking weapons! YOU ATTACK US!! WE SHOULD HAVE THOSE FUCKING WEAPONS!! YOU OPRESS YOUR OWN PEOPLE! HOW DOES IT FEAL?!?! SHUT UP!! HOW DOES IT FEAL?! YOU OPRESS YOUR OWN FUCKING PEOPLE!!!" , but of course, (every cop I see does this), the cop smurks back with this guilty smile and nods his head urgently as if he's trying to play it off sarcasticly. THIS IS CLEARLY AN EXAMPLE OF ONE WHO IS IN DENIAL. It's an auto-defensive mechanism to safe-gaurd ones repression, because they cannot cope with the truth.
