Come join thousands of activists, scientists, farmers, and concerned people from around the world for a week of education, strategy and empowerment. Be part of the growing global movement to stop genetic
engineering and protest BIO 2001, the largest-ever convention of the Biotechnology Industry Organization
From June 24th to 27th in San Diego, CA, leaders of multinational biotech, pharmaceutical corporations, industry scientists, bureaucrats, and marketers
will meet at the Biotechnology Industry Conference (BIO) http://www.bio.org to further their incessant drive for profits.

Thousands of People will be converging on San Diego to learn about the threats of biotechnology and create a festival of resistance to genetic engineering and the commodification of life. There will also be actions at the headquarters of the 5 "Gene Giants" throughout the U.S. (June 24-25th).
Come celebrate the global campaign for a just and sustainable food system and to take back our communities and our biodiversity.
Preparations for non-violent direct action, street theater and arts will take place in San Diego the week leading up to BIO.
