YOU ARE INVITED!

YOU ARE INVITED!

National Meeting of the October 22nd Coalition to Stop Police Brutality

MAIN PLENARY: October 22nd: Rising Despite Sharp Attacks

The October 22nd Coalition is national grassroots movement bringing

together those under the gun and all those who oppose police brutality and

the criminalization of young people. Our coalition has achieved a

tremendous amount since its beginning in 1996, including significant

advances over the past year that have helped strengthen the movement to

stop police brutality, repression and the criminalization of a generation.

We have also come under increasing attack, both here in Los Angeles

at the National Day of Protest where the police viciously assaulted our

march and rally, and in other places across the country. This plenary

will include several presentations from activists, families of victims of

police murder, people of the faith community and youth. They will

discuss both the achievements of our movement and some of the attacks on

our activities and activists – including how our coalition will persevere

and grow through meeting the increased attacks.

WHEN: Saturday, February 3

TIME: 10:00 a.m.
