Bush Audio: "As long as I'm the dictator"

Bush: "This might be easier if it were a dictatorship... as long as I'm the dictator..."

President-elect George W. Bush met with Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan Monday, discussing his proposed 10 year, .3 trillion tax cut. Later that morning, Bush met with Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle and House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt, as well as with Republican allies House Speaker Dennis Hastert and Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott Bush. In a press conference after the meeting, Bush noted that "This might be easier if it were a dictatorship... as long as I'm the dictator."

So what's the point?

Yeah alright... So, President Bush said that... What is the big fucking deal? Why don't you idiots grow up and stop drooling on yourselves? Everything you people cry and/or complain about as well as attempt to exacerbate is precisely what you either represent or ultimately become. Drop dead!

Whats the point? Well, isnt this country supposed to be a democracy where the

idea of a dictator is an anathema?

The point is, does he mean that or not? The point is, washington is thousands of

miles away and many social circles distant from here, and I have no idea as to whether or

not this was a joke or serious. At best, it is an increadibly sick joke, at worst, it is

the end of the United States of America

It was a joke intended to send a veiled message to the Democrat leadership standing beside him that dispite the nonpartisan rhetoric and rhetoric to the effect that everyone needs to work together, that he is the Commander in Chief. Plus he seemed relatively nervous when during the appearance where he made that remark. Don't read a lot into it. Although I am sure it will be used as fodder by his opposition or anyone who doesn't like him or fears him.

Forget Bush. Alan Greenspan is the guy who will cause you to loose your job this year. Talk about dictatorship. Grrenspan has way too much power for one person and he is untouchable too. He can't be fired and he is in until 2004. Clinton was scared too death of him. We are going to go into a resession because he (Greenspan) refuses to lower interest rates. As a result, companies are going to begin laying people off of work. He is actually hurting Americans. What country is he working for? Oh that's right, everything is mutlinational these days, so take your pick. When he finally does decide to lower interest rates it will take close to one year for the effect to be felt by the average American. During that interim Americans will suffer by loosing their sources of income. Greenspan knows this. He doesn't care. It isn't going to happen to him. Alan Greenspan is no good.
