Yes, it's official: the United States is the strangest country on earth. Forget Hungary. Forget Japan. Forget Paraguay. We rule.
I was wrong about it being all over on Monday, but not by much. Even the most sensible Florida Supreme Court decision that could be expected has not been enough to overcome the delay tactics. By my count only one county is now counting ballots based on the reasonably inferred intention of the voter, which is the nearly universal common-sense test. We are living in Upside-Down Land.
As we've seen many times already, the pundits make a practice of falsely accusing their opponents of doing whatever it is they are doing themselves. Now they are accusing their opponents of attempting a coup, and it looks increasingly likely that they will succeed.
